Welcome to the Peninsula Veterinary Surgery Website.
Our team is passionate about the health and wellbeing of the pets in our community and is dedicated to the peace of mind
of their owners.
We provide a complete service to our clients, which includes health and well-being consultations, medical treatment, general
surgery, referral service, puppy pre-school, dog grooming, vaccinations, desexing, and dentistry. We also have a large range
of pet care products, and premium pet food available over the counter as well as the latest in heartworm,
flea and worming preparations.
Located at 175 Anzac Ave Redcliffe, we are situated in a central location on the beautiful Redcliffe Peninsula, north of
Brisbane. We are diagonally opposite the Bridal shop on the corner of Anzac Ave and Ashmole Rd.

The Present
Our premises for your comfort are fully air conditioned with 2 large consulting rooms
and more waiting area. Facilities also include a surgery, dental area, xray facilities, kennels, grooming room and separate
isolation room.

Each appointment is allotted 20 minutes as we find this allows a more relaxed time for both patients and clients. All
details are recorded in our computerised system for efficient and accurate reminders and communications.

History
Drs James and Penny Cumines opened the Peninsula Veterinary Surgery in January 1994 working on their own as a husband and
wife team.
Our focus has always been on providing a friendly, caring and professional service and continues today with our dedicated
5 person team.
During 2004 James and Penny took leave to travel Australia with their three children. Dr Ian Lynch became the veterinarian
entrusted with our patients health and has since stayed with us since our return in February 2005. Clients are welcome to
see either Ian or James for consultation.
Our Team
We are a small but dedicated team which include Dr James Cumines, Dr Ian Lynch, Dr Penny Cumines, Jackie Spyers (Veterinary Nurse),
Naomi Paterson (Veterinary Nurse), Kate Mulcahy (Veterinary Nurse), Jennifer Roughton (Veterinary Nurse) and Julie Chapman (Dog Groomer).

Monday to Friday : 8am to 6pm
Saturday Morning: 9am to 12pm
Consultations are by appointment, emergencies excepted.
After Hours
Our After Hours service is provided by BVECCS. This service is located at the Brisbane Veterinary Specialist Centre on the corner of
Keong Rd and Old Northern Rd, Albany Creek. Telephone 3264 9400.
BVECCS has a fully staffed hospital all night and all weekend and public holidays.
They compliment our own services and all patient records are forwarded to us to allow continuity of care.
