Vaccinations in dogs and cats are also done annually once the initial course has been administered and this can be done at the same time usually.

We have transferred to the new type of vaccine for dogs which not every disease is vaccinated for every year. We recommend a C5 level of vaccination for all our doggy patients.

It is a common thing for the vet to pick up problems during a check up that are not obvious at home. For example a broken tooth or skin cancer may cause very little problems initially in their manner but can develop into life threatening illness.

Our more elderly cats and dogs should have a check up even more frequently than yearly.
