Dog Behaviour
IS YOUR DOG FAMILY FIT?
90% of dog owners report their pet´s behaviour is less than perfect and could be improved.
Is your pet a challenge to live with? Do you need help training your dog to fit into your family lifestyle? Most dogs display more than one undesirable behaviour, be it barking, digging, chewing, jumping, escaping, shyness, aggression, not heeding our commands or just over the top excitement.
We all would like a well-behaved dog that does as he or she is told and makes us feel proud and confident. With some ground rules and consistent hard work on behalf of all family members this is attainable within a relatively short timeframe.
Jane left us in November 2008 to expand her own behavioural business. She will continue to offer behavioural consultations to our clients here at Peninsula Veterinary Surgery.
She joined the Royal Army Veterinary Corps in the late sixties as a dog handler, training security and specialist liaison dogs.
Jane has continued training and handling dogs over the last 30 years and holds a current accreditation with the National Dog Trainer Federation.
For the last 8 years she has trained and instructed at Caboolture Sports Dog Obedience Club.
Jane has assisted behavioural experts at workshops and consults and has been called upon by these people to undertake programs to assist owners to cope with problematic dogs. She keeps up to date with new training and behavioural
methods and receives referrals from a wide range of professional people both locally and interstate.
